Fernhills Palace (Ooty):
Built in 1844, Fernhills Palace is one of the most famous shooting locations. The place is on a hill station and it was initially a private residence. Due to its natural beauty of dense forest, tea gardens and rich green valley, the place has always been in the top list for shooting. Olappamanna Mana:
Olappamanna Mana is one of the centuries old Namboothiri (Kerala Brahamin) Illam (house). The house is in Vellinezhi in Palakkad district. The place is filled with culture and has given birth to many cultural forms such as Kathakali, Carnatic music, and a dozen of literary personalities. Bekal Fort:
Bekal is the largest fort in Kerala. The Fort has been built up by the sea and three fourths of its exterior is drenched and the waves continually stroke the fort. The famous song 'Uyire' (Tamil) from the movie Bombay (film) has been shot at Bekal Fort. Many such films, music albums, and commercial advertisements are being shot at Bekal Fort.
Hill Palace:
Hill Palace is Kerala's first heritage museum known for its royal collections of the Maharaja of Kochi. Hill Palace also known as Thripunithara Palace and is the largest archaeological museum in Kerala. Movies such as Manichitra thazhu, Manathe kottaram were shot here.
This island located near the Kochi harbour mouth is famous for the Bolgatty Palace built by the Dutch in 1744. It was later taken over by the British. Nowadays, this imposing palace is a luxury hotel, run by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) Hotels & Resorts. The palace-hotel complex has honeymoon cottages and also a mini golf course.
Kuttanad is an endless stretch of backwaters and palm-fringed emerald islets.
